TIMME, John J. 91, died peacefully October 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Taylor) Timme for 65 years. Loving father of Gregory (Pamela), Lynn (Thomas) Lindenfeld, Diane (Joseph) Jagoditz, Steven (Becky), Andrew, and Robert (Ginger Halterman), father-in-law to Laura Bell, Jill McBride Timme and Lisa Higgins. Grandfather to Sarah (Stan) Fortin, John (Erin) Timme, Jennifer Timme, Andrew Lindenfeld, Alana Lindenfeld, Katherine (Justin) Truman, Chris Jagoditz, James (Maria) Jagoditz, Monica Jagoditz, Julia (Jake) Sander and Claire Timme. Great-grandfather to Gretchen, Brude and Ingrid Fortin, Olivia, Charlotte and Adeline Timme, Dylan Studt, Dominic Truman, Emma Jagoditz, Scarlett and Jayce Jagoditz, Cooper and Griffin Sander. John will also be missed by Grandpups Emma and Jack, who enjoyed sitting on John’s lap and eating crumbs from under his chair. Son of the late John and Anna (Moeller) Timme, brother to the late Robert Timme. Brother-in-law to the late James and Lois Taylor, Ray (late Carol) Deidesheimer and Everest and Dorothy (Taylor) Engel. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. John served in the US Air Force and is a Korean War Veteran. John worked as an electric lineman for Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co., then Supervisor, and retired after 35 years. The love of his life was ‘his bride,’ but he also enjoyed camping (camped in all lower 48 states), fishing, hunting, golfing, working his crossword puzzles, drinking Burger beer and eating Reese’s peanut butter cups and creamed herring. John was a ‘jack of all trades,’ invented many gadgets and could fix anything his children or grandchildren broke. John was a devout Catholic and devoted to St. Padre Pio (Pray, hope and don’t worry). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill 45224 on Monday October 17, from 4-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clare Church 1443 Cedar Ave., College Hill 45224 on Tuesday October 18 at 10 AM.
