Jonathan S. Hunt (March 29, 1950 – May 1, 2021) passed away in Monroe, Ohio on the morning of Saturday the first of May at the age of 71. He is survived by his sisters and brother: Carol Hunt Chamberlain (ex-husband, Charles); Joan Hunt Black (husband, Harry); and Jeffrey P. Hunt (wife, Margaret). Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews: Mathew Chamberlain (wife, JoAnn); Peter Chamberlain (wife, Mio); and Reed Hunt and Emily Hunt. Surviving grandnieces and grandnephews are: Ian and Morgan Chamberlain; Yori and Ko Chamberlain; and Cole and Grey Hunt (and their mother, Amy Hunt).
Jonathan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Olga Petersky Hunt and Chester J. Hunt. He grew up in Poland, Ohio and is a graduate of Poland Seminary High School, and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned a BS degree in Communications.
He was employed by the Sterling Drugs Corp., the Hilton Davis Co., the Lubrizol Corp., and retired from DHL Transportation Corp.
He was an ardent supporter of Miami University’s baseball program, and was a life long sports enthusiast. As a hobby, he attended at least one Major League Baseball game at a long list of Major League ball parks throughout the country.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
During his final years, Jonathan resided at Ohio Living, Mt. Pleasant in Monroe, Ohio where he enjoyed a close knit group of friends. Jonathan was a gentle soul, and he will be greatly missed.
