Joseph Stegman

Joseph Anthony Stegman, age 92, died peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023, after a brief illness.  He was the loving husband for 65 years to the late Suzanne Santel Stegman, the beloved father of Judith Stegman, Jennifer (John) Ward, Janet (Richard) Neidhard, Jill (Matthew) Cocks, Scott (Susan) Stegman and Bradley (Eileen) Stegman and the adored grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is survived by his two brothers James (Beverly) Stegman and Jerome (Johanna) Stegman, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Born and raised in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, by parents, Carl and Leona Stegman, Joe was the 9th of 12 children in an incredible family. He was a proud alumnus of St. Xavier High School and the University of Kentucky.  Like so many of his generation, he and Sue started married life with little to their name.  They made a commitment to put their trust in God and by doing so, lived a long and happy life, fulfilled to see their children grow into successful adults with families of their own.

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023 from 5-7 PM at the Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave. College Hill 45224.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Rd.
