Joseph (Joe) W. Schindler passed away Friday,December 23, 2011, age 76. Beloved husband of Kay Schindler (Haap) for 55 years. Proud father of Michael Schindler (Julie), Mary Alice Brennan (Bill), Anne Aponte (Al), Ruth Jutte (LeRoy), Ed Schindler (Nikkie), Linda Schuh (Troy). Proud Grandfather of Leah, Josh, Natalie and Julia Schindler, Will, Sean and Megan Brennan, Joe Ritter, Linda Mc Donald, Matt Aponte, Christopher and Brandon Jutte, Zac Johnson, and the late Micah Schindler. Great-grandfather of Jahi and Amani McDonald. Brother of Bob(Ruth) (the late Judy), Frank (Tziggy) Schindler, Mary Ehrman (the late Tony), and the late Tom Schindler (survived by Doris). Brother-in-law of Jack (Ruth), Mike (Mary Ann) and Don (Debbie) Haap. Loving Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired Sergeant of St. Bernard Police Department and Court Security Officer of Federal Bankruptcy Court. Long time member of St. Clement Parish, St. Bernard Kiwanis and St. Bernard Eagles.
