Judith Carles, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at the age of 83. Born in November of 1941 in Fort Wayne, IN, Judy lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Judy graduated from the Parkview Hospital Nursing program in 1963 as a registered nurse, a vocation she followed until her retirement in the year 2000.
In June of 1964, she married the love of her life, John Carles. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two children, Chris Carles (Terri Wordie) and Kelly Carles-Kinch (Mike Kinch). She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren: Tyler and Adam Carles, and Sarah and Grant Kinch, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She held a special spot in her heart for her only great-grandchild, Eloise Carles.
Judy was known for her warm heart, sharp mind, and deep passion for reading. An avid reader, she cherished her book club and the friendships it fostered. She also had a passionate love of antiques, spending years collecting beautiful pieces of furniture with her husband. These treasures were a testament to their shared appreciation for history and craftsmanship.
Judy and John shared a profound love of travel, exploring the United States together and creating cherished memories along the way. At home, Judy and John found great joy in their yard, cultivating beautiful flower gardens and landscapes that reflected her creative spirit and love of nature.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Judith cherished her family above all else. She took great pride in their accomplishments, always offering words of encouragement and wisdom. She brought joy and comfort to everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression with her gentle spirit and generous nature.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held later in the Spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Aplastic Anemia Association (https://www.aamds.org/) or to Hospice of Southwest Ohio (www.hswo.org).
Judy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered for her kindness, strength, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
