June Balzer

BALZER June (nee Effler), beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Balzer. Devoted mother of Chris and Neil Doppes, Joe and Sue Balzer, and Jim and Jenny Balzer. Grandmother of Carrie and Jimmy, Erin and Geoff, Neil, Mary, Emily and Ryan, Missy, Joey, Becky, Jessi and Rudy, and Matt. Great-grandmother of Catey, Andrew, Julia, Teddy, Ansel, Noah, Mya, and Nate. Step-grandmother of David, Spencer, and the late Brian. Twin sister of Jane (Dick) Eichhold, sister of Robert (Erma) Effler, and the late Loretta Feichtner and Pet Brielmaier. Sister-in-law of Mary Ann (Walter) Oka. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Visitation at St. Clement Church, 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, 45217 Saturday, April 16 from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. June was a member of the St. Bernard and Carthage Seniors. She was also a recipient of the University of Cincinnati Women’s Recognition Award and was inducted in to the Cincinnati Senior Citizen Hall of Fame. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Clement Church or to the Sisters of St. Francis, 22143 Main St., Oldenburg, IN 47036.
