June F. Young

YOUNG, June F., longtime resident of Ohio and later the state of Florida, passed away Thursday, October 1st, 2009. She was born on June 30th 1931 to the late Peter M. Fisher and Minnie Herlinger in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her sister Betty Schrotel and brother Lester Fisher. Beloved wife of the late Rodney B. Young Jr., they chose to retire to Panama City, FL where they enjoyed traveling, gardening and entertaining friends and family. June was a practicing registered nurse for more than 30 years and culminated her career as a nurse manager at Mercy Hospital in Miami Florida. She was a superior athlete, unrivaled cook, lover of animals and avid tennis player late into her years. Gifted with the voice of an angel and a smile that would brighten any room, June clearly bettered all whose lives she touched. But most of all she will be remembered as the exceptionally kind and loving mother of Dr. Rodney B. Young III (Rebecca), Lisbeth L. Klotz (Robert) and Bradford P. Young (Lori); and her grandchildren Robert Klotz Jr., Bradford Young Jr., and Canton Young. The family will have a private memorial service, to celebrate their mother’s life, in Panama City, Florida.
