Karen S. Taylor

January 5, 1943 — July 4, 2022

Karen Sue Taylor was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, cousin and friend. She died Monday, July 4th, 2022, receiving independence from her body and going into the arms of our Lord.

She left Michigan for Ohio as a young wife, then mother to her two daughters Terri Sue and Melissa. In the 70’s when Trenton created their first girls softball league, she learned the sport and coached so her daughters could participate. She went back to school when her children were older and transitioned from housewife to working mother.

Karen and David married in the 80’s and she gained two adult step-children, Denny and Debbie. Thanksgiving was a blended family event with everyone having a great time sharing news of the previous years. Karen and David regularly traveled across the country with the Credit Union, including Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. She always had a dog or two around the house and cared for them fiercely.

David decided he wanted a motorcycle in the 90’s after seeing Terri’s GoldWing. Terri took Karen for a ride and the hook was set. Karen and David traveled many miles across the country on their GoldWing and made many more friends along the way.

Karen was known for her smile and readiness to make new friends. Her love of gardening has carried to her daughters and granddaughter. Many have heard about the hummingbirds and other birds that had visited the feeders she kept out. Her trips to Florida to visit Terri always included a trip to the beach to get more shells and see the sun set.

Deeply loved by husband of almost 40 years Carl David Taylor, daughters Terri Sue and Melissa, grandchildren Claire and Seth, cousin Nancy, stepchildren Denny and Debbie and their families. Predeceased by granddaughter Bonnie, our littlest angel.
