Katherine S. Johnston

Katherine Sue Johnston, age 67 of Fairfield, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020.

Katherine was born August 11, 1953 in Pittsburgh, CA to the late Edward Downs and Georgia Finley. Katherine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her strong Christian faith and love for family were her most treasured gifts. Katherine also enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing. She retired after 32 years of service from Trihealth in 2016. She had most recently moved to Fairfield, OH to start a new journey after selling the family home in Lawrenceburg, IN after 36 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (Michael) Robbins of Fairfield, OH, Ami (Brian) Blackburn of Union KY, Arien (Christopher) Memory of Cincinnati, OH; one sister Ann (Jim) Wilson of Lexington, KY; two brothers, Randy (Leigh) Downs of Kansas City, MO and Allen (Nancy) Downs of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren, Kobi Memory, Jackson Blackburn, Stella Blackburn, Brooklyn Robbins and Dylan Robbins; countless nieces and nephews; loving sister-law and friend of many.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Johnston; and one grandson Kaden Memory.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. at St. John Neumann Church, 12191 Mill Road, Cincinnati, OH. Mass of Christian burial will be directly following at 1:00 P.M. with Fr. Kyle officiating. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kobi Memory, Jackson Blackburn, Dylan Robbins, Brian Blackburn, Chris Memory, Michael Robbins, Joshua Dickhaus and Matthew Wilson.
