Kathleen C. (nee Fitzpatrick) Britt. Feb 5, 1949 - Aug 5, 2023

Beloved mother of Karen (Barry) Walker, Ron (Shannon) Britt, Julie (Patrick) Enneking, David Britt and Lisa (Steve) Wernke. Cherished grandmother of Madison, Sam, Anna, William, Lucy, Henry, and Nathaniel. Preceded in death by her late husband, Bill, parent, Walter and Clara, and siblings Barb, Ralph, Bill, Jim, and Mary Pat. Survived by siblings Mike, Walt, Renee, Margie, Claire, and Eileen and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was an avid walker, loved to crochet, garden, listen to music, watch sports, and bake.  She was known for her great Christmas cookies, bourbon balls, perfecting the pumpkin dump cake, and making M&M or chocolate chip cookies with her grandkids. Whenever any of the grandkids spent time with her they were sure to have a blast and know that she would help them hide worms in their pockets or anything like that. She seemed to have boundless energy with them and fed their imagination with pretend play, Nerf wars, and Star Wars pizza parties. She was always up for an adventure and would talk about the trip she took with her high school friends right after they graduated, the vacation to Alaska with her sister, Pat, going to the Smokey Mountains, or to Washington DC.  She enjoyed going to the zoo, botanical gardens, parks, The Wilds outside of Columbus, and so much more.  She treasured the times she would get together with her high school friends, affectionately known as “The Club.” The past seven months were not easy on her, but she faced the news of and fighting cancer with great strength. She developed a love of frozen coffee drinks from Chick fil A and anytime we went out, whether it was shopping or to a chemotherapy appointment we had to stop for one.  When we found out that they were basically an ice cream coffee blend we laughed and realized that’s why they were so delicious! Kathy was a wonderful mom, grandma, and friend who will be greatly missed. Visitation will take place at St. Clement Church 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, Thursday from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
