GIERHART, Kathleen Marian (nee Day) born August 8, 1925, in Ottumwa, IA, passed on November 5, 2011. The daughter of the late William Arthur and Bertha Louise Day. A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1943. She worked for Gruen Watch Company in Cincinnati. She married the late Frank Gierhart in 1955. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law Dottie and Leonard Trent of Abilene, TX, one step-daughter Patty Koth of Indiana, numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren, trusted and loyal friend of many years Elsie Koth of Cincinnati, and preceded in death by two brothers. She was a member of Dayspring Church of God and enjoyed work with small children. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, Wednesday from 12 noon until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Dayspring Church of God.
