Kathleen S. Shapiro

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Kathleen Susanne Shapiro (Fleming). “Katydid” peacefully passed away the morning of October 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Mary Jane and William Fleming. She is survived by her loving husband Michael and her adoring sons Brian and Shane. She is also survived by siblings Timothy (Joanna), Maureen, Kierin (Virgil) and Patrick (Jo-Ann). She was a "Second Mom" to many as she loved deeply and volunteered her time whenever she could. Katie was born in Cincinnati on March 9, 1954. She attended Saint Ursula Academy and the University of Cincinnati. Katie loved family and friends more than anything in the world. Her sons were the center of her life and she was very proud of the fine men they have become. Special note of thanks to her very good friends Jake and Patti who stood by Katie’s side throughout the final years. May she rest in peace forever as she spreads her wings and fly's away.
