Kathryn B. Murray

MURRAY, Kathryn B. (nee Betts) of Wyoming, OH passed away peacefully June 10, 2021 at the age of 89. Kathy was born and raised in Rumson, NJ to her late parents Charles and Kathryn Betts. She was the youngest of eight children and the last to pass. She came to Cincinnati in 1961. She worked for an OB GYN doctor as a medical assistant until 1970. She volunteered at Providence, Bethesda and Franciscan Terrace as a nurse assistant whenever she was needed. She also volunteered at the Cincinnati Zoo for many years. Her late husband Robert Murray passed away in 2016, former husband Erwin C. Klein passed away in 1983. She is survived by her only son Robert “Bob” Lawley of Cincinnati, grandson Jackson Chamberlain of Denver, CO and granddaughter Olivia Rain Lawley of Granville, IL and by many, many nieces, nephews.  Also survived by Charles and Melissa Murray, Winifred S. Murray, step grandchildren Grace Murray and Ruth and Joe DiGiuseppe. She was a member of the Cincinnati Women’s Club and the St. James of the Valley Church. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, June 18^th at St. James of the Valley Church 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming at 10AM. A Reception will immediately follow Mass at the Wyoming Golf Club.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. James of the Valley Church or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
