Kathryn M. Huston

Kathryn Marie Huston, known as Katie to her many friends, left us August 16, 2024. She was born March 13, 1982 in Toledo, Ohio and moved to West Chester at age 5. 

Katie was a thespian in high school and studied medical technologies in college. After leaving college, Katie was a proud mother to two loving Shih Tzu dogs Piper and Scamper. Her love for dogs led to Katie moderating the Shih Tzu Facebook page, making friends even internationally. Katie was known by her family, friends, neighbors and co-workers for her kind and giving heart, great sense of humor, and quick wit. Katie was feisty, funny, thoughtful, and at times, very direct. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Katie is survived by her parents Larry Huston and Susan Huston, her sister Angelia Niederhelman, brother Jeffrey (Stephanie) Huston and niece and nephew Madison and Henry Huston.

Celebration of her life will be held at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 9463 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, West Chester, Ohio, Saturday August 24, 2024 from 3:00pm-5:00pm with a brief service at 4:45pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) of Monroe, OH to honor her love of animals.
