CONLEY, Kaylynn Marguerite, 58, of Monroe, Ohio, died Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, surrounded by her family and many friends. She was born July 30, 1960 in Merryville, Louisiana, daughter of John and Margaret Conley, nee Cooley, and her mother survives in Trenton, Illinois. Also surviving are her son, Chase Conley and his fianceé Alicia Pruett, of Norwood, Ohio; an infant grandson, Landis Wayne Conley of Norwood; a brother, Michael (Sybil) Conley of Trenton; a niece, Miranda Conley of Trenton; her beloved dogs Ozzie and Albert; in-laws, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded by her father, John Conley; her ex-husband, Don Strieker; and a niece, Zoë Conley. Ms. Conley was a special education teacher in the Lakota School District. She earned her master’s degree in education at Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She had a special gift for making and keeping friends. She was a Louisiana State University football fan and a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her new grandson Landis. There will be a memorial service for Kay at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 1 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio, 45044. Friends may call on the family prior to the service, from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. There will be a gathering at her home, 430 Stillpass Way, Monroe, Ohio, 45050 at 2:30 p.m. for family and friends to celebrate her life. Memorials may be made in Kay’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
