Kenneth Roy Distler passed away on Feb. 13, 2014 after a long and heroic struggle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carole M. Distler, cherished son Adrian Roy Distler, daughter–in-law Leslie and many devoted and dear friends. Son of the late Roger Distler and Artie (Beard) Distler. Ken was born October 15, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Woodward High School and Ohio University and his entire career was at General Electric. Ken spent many hours on the golf course, had a lifelong interest and was a collector of American Flyer Trains, a student of World War II, Civil War history, and Charles Dickens. Ken’s positive attitude throughout his struggle has been an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Albright for all of his professional and kind efforts toward Ken during the ten year struggle.
