Kimberly Benton Haas

July 19, 1971 — February 2, 2019

Kimberly Benton Haas, 47, born 7/19/1971, passed away on 2/2/2019 after fighting cancer valiantly.

Kim, the mother of two wonderful daughters she adored, loved the beach, reading, college football and most importantly to her, spending time with family and friends. She was quick-witted, caring and intelligent. Although her life seems too short to many, those who were touched by her, know she lived every moment to the fullest. With an army of family and friends beside her, Kim (Kimmie) touched so many and will be sorely missed.

Kim attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL in 1993. After entering the hospitality industry, Kim started work at the Cincinnati Convention Bureau (CCB) where she gained the respect and admiration of many within the industry. Over 11 years ago, Kim began employment at the Sharonville Convention Center as a sales manager. In recognition of her devotion and dedication to her career there, the Sharonville Convention Center is naming a mother’s room in her honor.

Kim is preceded in death by her mother Lynn Benton, her maternal grandparents, PaPa & Ga, her paternal grandmother, Marie Benton (S.O.G.) and her Aunt Bobbie. Survived by her beautiful children, Regan Haas, Riley Haas and husband, Mike Haas, along with in-laws Jim and Rosemary Haas. Her father and hero, Bill Benton, step-mom Lana, and sister Karen Benton.

She is also survived by her cousin and brother, Bill Rayney. Cousin’s Robbie Stiens (wife Lisa), Rebecca (husband Sam), Kelly Rayney, Judi Absher, Mark (wife Janine) Rayney  and Aunt Ruby Stiens. Also, her special, Uncle and Aunt, Bruce and Dar Barnes, son David and wife Niccole. Her beloved dog Abbey as well as a host of many, many friends.

Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, OH 45069 on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
