Our beloved “Downtown” Larry Brown from Cincinnati (Dent), OH passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2016 leaving behind his loving/devoted Care Giver (Ex-wife: Sue “B” Brown); his first cousin from Middletown, OH Carol (Brown) Long/Dave & family; his first cousin from Roanoke, VA Jane(Brown) Garner/Elmo & family; plus his (Ex-wife Barbara Allen) and children much loved by Larry: Starr (Gazar) Edwards, Paul Gazar/Tracy, & Colleen (Gazar) Trego/Chad; and Grandfather (Papa Brown) to: Ashley, Brianna, Emily, Jacob & Mathew Edwards; Whitney, Brady & Grant Gazar; and Branden, Bryson & Isabella Trego as they all had become his pride and joy! In addition Larry leaves behind a host of friends from several diversified groups: UC Bearcats (All Sports), UC Marching Band/Alumni; Hyde Park Singles; Base Busters Softball Team; The Nerds Amongst Us; OBES Semi-Annual Luncheons; LifeSpring Community Church, the “Y”, Cincinnati Musicians Association, XU Faculty Jazztet, the Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame and last but not least his Canterbury Row Neighbors! Larry never knew a stranger so he could easily fill up both Paul Brown and Nippert stadiums and then some as he thoroughly enjoyed people and helping others first and foremost! He will be sorely missed as he was loved by all who met him but is at peace now where he can once again enjoy playing his Jazz kit (drum set), a lifelong gift with his first paying gig at age 15 years.
