Lat (Luke) Koo, (61) a resident of Hamilton, Ohio passed away Monday, December 22, 2014.
Lat was born in 1953, and grew up in Hong Kong. Later, Lat came to the United States, where he attended Iowa State University, and earned his PhD in Applied Mechanical Engineering. He became a US citizen. He first worked as a researcher at Iowa State University and then as a scientist contracted through the Department of Energy. He later went on to work as an engineer in the aerospace industry. He loved to exercise and keep fit. Lat believed that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah of Israel and the whole world. Lat (Luke) loved God and sought to serve Him in every aspect of his life. His heart's desire was for his family, friends, and all people to come to know God in truth, as he had come to know Him; that they would come to know the peace, joy and salvation that only the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob can give. Lat had a deep love for his family.
Lat (Luke) is survived by his wife, Hung (Hannah) Koo, his parents, three sisters and family.
A memorial service will take place at Beth Messiah Congregation, 9054 Columbia Rd., Loveland, Ohio 45140 on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1:15 P.M. following the regular service, which starts at 11 A.M.
