BYRD, Lavene Morine Rigney (nee Smith), went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at age 72. She was born August 1, 1941, in Casey Co., KY, to the late Quincy Clay Smith and Ella Jane (Dick) Smith. Wife of the late Mick Byrd. Beloved mother of Barbara Curless. Grandmother of Brian (Misty) Gilardi, Shawn Faulkner and Katie Adams. Great-grandmother of Michael Hines, Cody DeRose, Matthew Gilardi, Joshua Gilardi, Kaiden Fuson, Karrah and Miranda Gilardi. Sister of Geneva Stewart, Betty Sue Waddle and the late Bonnie Wilson, Junior Smith, Victor Smith, Windola Gaddis, George Smith and her little brother Ronnie Lee Smith. Also survived by her favorite “insert your name here” niece/nephew and many other loving relatives and friends.
