Lavern P. Byrd

Lavern Byrd, 75, of Cincinnati, OH, went home to be with the Lord Friday night. She was born October 31, 1948, to the late Roy and Velma Blackburn. She was raised in Eubank, KY. She was a faithful christian, devoted wife, a loving mother and mamaw, and a dear friend with a love of fashion and a heart of gold. Her family was her life. She was preceded in death by both of her beloved sisters, Rosemary Borders and Marie Girdler. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Gary C. Byrd, her adoring daughter, Shelly B. Rounds, her cherished grandchild and great grandchildren: Danielle Mae Rounds, Skyler Elizabeth Rounds, and Jamie Daniel Rounds, and her dear brother, Hershell Blackburn. A visitation will be held for Lavern on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 11am-12pm at Southland Baptist Church. A service will be held immediately following at 12pm at the Church. Lavern will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery.
