Lenore was born on August 11th, 1941, to Lenore and Milton E Provost in Ludlow MA. After graduating from Ludlow High School in 1958 she went on to work at Valley Bank in Springfield MA. Douglas met Lenore in 1959 at a party held at Hotel Bridgeway in Springfield MA. They were married on May 20th, 1961. Douglas and Lenore had three children Adam, Suzanne, and Jennifer.
Lenore was preceded in death by her mother Lenore, father Milton, sister Joan, and brother Milt. She is survived by her husband Douglas, children Adam Stone, Suzanne Huneck, and Jennifer Stone, grandchildren Jessie Huneck, Ryan Huneck, Savanah Stone, and Douglas Starcher. Lenore also was survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lenore was a stay-at-home mom and filled her days donating her time to others. Lenore loved to get involved in her community and was a member of the Welcome Wagon groups in both Lebanon TN and Medina OH. She volunteered at the Warren County Adult New Readers program and helped coordinate reading programs at both South Lebanon Elementary and JF Burns Elementary. Lenore was a long-time member of the Mason Methodist Church. She was very active in all aspects of her church community and in 2006 was awarded the Reverend J.J Hill Leadership Award. She was also a member of the Mason Area Painters Group. Her work could be seen at local exhibitions, events, and galleries all over the region.
Services will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home located at 8815 rt 42 West Chester OH 45069 on Tuesday, March 5th at 11 am until the time of funeral service beginning at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
