Livia Maria Carcei

Livia Maria Carcei, the handmaiden of God, age 87, of Timișoara, Romania departed this life in peace at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Livia lived in Timisoara for most of her adult life and in her later years in the US with her daughter's family. After she lost her mother when she was only 3 years old she overcame hardships to get an education, have a successful career and build a family. She was an elementary school teacher ( grades 1 through 4) for more than three decades. A caring and dedicated teacher, passionate about her students she has touched many lives through the years. Her life was anchored on her Orthodox Christian Faith. Livia is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of 36 years, Constantin Carcei. Livia is also survived by her beloved daughter, Elena and son in law, Florin, who currently live in Mason, Ohio and her most adored grandchildren Sofia and Constantin, who she helped raise and was happy to see grow up. Livia was a kind woman who always had a good word for everyone she met and lent a hand  to everyone who  was in need.  Our "mama" and "bunica" will be dearly missed. We can never be grateful enough for all the good she has done for us. Memory eternal!
