Logan Miller

Logan Miller (known to family and friends as “Morris” or “Mo”), passed away on November 2, 2018, at the age of 82. Logan was born in 1936 in Estill County, Kentucky, but spent the majority of his youth with his great aunt and uncle on their farm on Van Gordon Road in Liberty Township, Ohio. Logan served in the U.S Army, worked as a dairy farmer, and in 1965, began a thirty year career at General Electric Evendale. His great aunt and uncle deeded Logan 18 acres of land on the corner of Van Gordon and Hamilton-Mason Road, where he and his wife, Hazel, built their home and raised three children. He was active in the Pisgah Youth Organization (PYO), coaching boys baseball and girls softball teams, and he was a lifelong avid golfer. After retirement, Logan and Hazel enjoyed traveling, spending time with grandchildren, and their winter home in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

Logan is preceded in death by his great aunt and uncle, Fannie and Hiram Richardson, his mother and stepfather, Myrtle and Cecil Alexander, his father, Ralph Miller, his sister, Betty Mullikin, his sister, Faye Brown, his uncle Archie Rager, his dear cousin Dave Wyatt, and other family and close friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hazel (nee Downing), his son, Ron Miller, his daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Thom Atkinson, his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Stephen Lanou, and his five grandsons, Austin Miller, Lee Miller, Miller Atkinson, Michael Miller and Walker Atkinson. Logan is also survived by his brother-in-law, Ronnie Price, his brother-law, Clyde Mullikin, his dear Aunt Grace Rager, and other beloved cousins, extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 11 a.m. until a celebration of Logan’s life at 12 noon at the Breiel Boulevard Church, 2000 N. Breiel Blvd, Middletown, Ohio.
