Loyal R. Brown

BROWN, Loyal R. Beloved husband of the late Anna M. (Price) Brown for 63 years, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at age 93. He was the loving father of Bonnie (John) Brugger and Carol (Keith) Zucker. He was grandfather of Sarah (Vince) Weimer, Anne (Aaron) Spear, Joseph Brugger, Vanessa, Evan and Andrew Zucker. He was great grandfather of Edwin and Kailey Weimer and Dylan and Cadyn Spear. Loyal was born May 11, 1923, in Casey Co., Kentucky, to George W. and Minnie (Campbell) Brown. He was the brother of Olowene (Vertresse) Huff, Thelma (Max) Luttrell and Betty (Owen) Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Josephine (Argle) Garrett and Anna Marie (Robert) Osterkamp and brothers George and Bobby. Loyal served in the US Army 1st Armored Division during WW II. He was captured in North Africa and was a POW for over two years. He was an active member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War, OKI Branch. Loyal was a member of the Church of Christ in Blue Ash. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Tuesday, November 15, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral service at 12 noon.
