Lyndale “Dale” Hatter, 86 passed away peacefully February 8, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty Jean Hatter for 66 years, loving father of Jimmie (Elizabeth) Hatter and Gwendolyn Hatter, dear grandpa of Kelly (David) and Natalie Kiser. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Dale is survived by his brother, James and sisters Reba, Joan and Diane. Dale was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents, Alva, Terrell and Pauline Hatter, brothers John and Raymond and sisters, Wilma “Bunt” Floyd and Kaye Spears. Dale retired from Formica in 1996 after working for 41 years. Prior to that he served in the United States Army, 4th Infantry Division. Dale loved to fish, hunt, garden, more recently enjoyed to relax in his easy chair watching his favorite shows, Andy Griffith, Fred Sanford and Judge Judy. Dale was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord and took comfort in knowing where he was going. He loved his family with all of his heart. He was the kindest, gentlest man who will be greatly missed. We will forever hold on to the stories, memories and love you had for us and that will help carry us on. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Friday from 11AM until Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
