Mack Smith

Mack Smith, of West Chester, OH, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 89. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruby (nee Addison). Loving father of David (Tammy) Smith, & Johnny (Christine) Smith. Grandfather of Michelle, Craig, Adam, Ryan, Mindy, & Sarah. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren along with many nieces & nephews.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Boaz O. Smith, a Presbyterian preacher, & Louise E. Smith of Blairs Mills, Pa. His sister, Ruth (Hiram) Moseley of Florence, SC, & brother, Mahlon (Anna Mae) Smith of Chambersburg, PA.

Mack was a loving & devoted husband & father & was very faithful to the Lord. Until his health declined in recent years, he rarely ever missed a church service on Sunday mornings. He was a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War & was honorably discharged. He was a big rig truck driver during most of his working career & just loved driving those trucks. He was blessed to have good health his entire life until recently & was able to enjoy a long & well-deserved retirement. He was truly a man of honor & will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, Liberty TWP. 45044, from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. There will be a procession to Butler Country Memorial Park immediately following the service.
