Madeline C. Goderre

Madeline Catherine Goderre, age 88, formerly of West Chester, passed away on January 22, 2023, at Wexner Heritage Village in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born on September 22, 1934, in Stamford, Connecticut, the daughter of the late H. Russell and Madeline (Fortunato) Klinzing.

On September 8, 1956, she married David V. Goderre, whom she remained married to for 43 years, until his death on May 19, 2000.

Mrs. Goderre, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose children, grandchildren, and great grandchild brought her most joy, is survived by her four children, Tracy (Jerry) Brown, of West Chester, OH, Thomas Goderre (Jennifer Olsen Lambert), of Chandler, AZ, Diane Goderre (Chad Kohler), of Bexley, OH, and Megan Coetzee (Nico), of San Clemente, CA; seven grandchildren, Rachel Marshall (Mike Euhlein), Ryan Goderre, Tara Goderre, Allister Kohler, Truman Kohler, Emerson Coetzee, and Kat Coetzee; and one great grandchild, Benjamin Marshall-Euhlein.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Roseanne) Klinzing, of Leawood, KS.

Mrs. Goderre was an avid reader and a skilled seamstress/quilter who loved making quilts for all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.  For many years, she owned and operated The Sewing Basket store in West Chester.  She was also a homemaker and, early in her life, an executive secretary.
