Margaret (Marjean) Holman Gray, 90, beloved wife of John A. Gray for 61 years, passed away peacefully Friday, August 2, 2013 at her home. She was born December 17th, 1922 in Middletown, OH, the daughter of Joseph Wallace and Lillian Canter Holman. She is survived by her husband, her three children, David Randolph, Timothy Holman, and Joanna Gray Banta, and her brother, Joseph Wallace Holman, Jr. of Middletown, OH. Marjean earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Ohio State University, was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, the DAR, and active in church all her life. She served as a deacon and president of the women’s association at both Northminster Presbyterian Church and Potomac Presbyterian Church in Maryland. Marjean was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Chapter AR, in Cincinnati and served as Chairman for the Program of Continuing Education. Marjean was an avid reader, loved playing the piano, and enjoyed the arts in Cincinnati. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Hodapp Funeral Homes, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd, West Chester, OH. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 8th at 10 am at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 9463 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd, West Chester, OH. Burial (family only) will be in Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, P.E.O.
