Maria Ficker, nee Roeckers, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26 at Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash at the age of 86. Maria was born in Germany in 1931 and her passions included family, friends and flowers, also supporting her favorite charities. She was the devoted wife of the late Herman Ficker, mother of John Fisher, mother-in-law of Mary Fisher (nee Moore), sister of late Henry Roeckers, late Anni Drees (Germany), and late Josef Roeckers (Germany), Oma (Grandmother) of Shawn, Stacey, Jonathan, and Jenna, great-grandmother of Haley, Audrey, Travis, and Jackson, sister-in-law of Anni Ahrens and Elizabeth Roeckers, with many additional relatives in Germany, both living and deceased. Maria was a member of the Kolping Society, Germania Society and St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, 45224 on Saturday , July 29, 2017 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Bartholomew Church, 9375 Winton Rd., Springfield Township, 45231 at 11:00 AM, with interment at Arlington Cemetery.
