Marian Jean Noffke

Marian Jean Noffke, age 90, passed away on April 9, 2017 at Glendale Place Care Center. She was the loving wife of John W. Noffke for over 67 years. Marian was born on June 12, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Thomas E. and Henrietta (Jones) White. She attended Indiana University and graduated with a B.A. and M.A. from Miami University. She taught 3rd grade in the North College Hill school system for 24 years. Marian was a longtime member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and participated in the local chapter for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Lakeshore Women’s Club. Marian was a volunteer for the local Alzheimer Foundation for 21 years. She was an avid Rug Hooker and won Blue Ribbons at the Hamilton County Fair two years in a row. She is survived by husband John W. Noffke, sons Steve Noffke of Cincinnati, OH and Mark (Dianne) Noffke of Virginia Beach, VA, grandsons Alexander J. Noffke of Virginia Beach, VA and William R. Noffke of Maui, HI. The Family will receive friends on Saturday April 15th from 11 am-1 pm at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45224.
