Sammons, Marilyn, age 87, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on November 9, 2015. She married the late
Donald Sammons in 1950. She is survived by her children: Susan Neal, Donald (Tonya) Sammons, David
(Cherryl) Sammons, Kathryn (Steven) Gale, Patty Sammons, Richard Sammons, Nancy (Michael) Chessey,
Daniel (Cindy) Sammons, Julie (Tom) Phelan, Doug (Lisa) Sammons, Sandra Whitley, Amy (Dave) Combs and Mark Thurman. She leaves behind a sister, Carol (Dave) Tanner, and two brothers, Melvin (Mary) Huber and Jim (Monica) Huber; grandchildren: Chuck, Travis, Kimberly, Brandon, Allison, Valerie, Jennifer, Stephanie, Ryan, Lauren, Tony, Julie, Joey, Katie, Chris, Alex, Nicole, Megan, Lindsay, Emily, Doug, William, Patrick, Katelyn, Tyler, Jennifer, Nate, Jimmy, Christina; and great-grandchildren: Cali, Lucas, Hannah, Prince, Sophia, Micah, Adyline, Leighton, Samuel, Cara, Samantha, Marilyn, Noah, Thomas, Andrew, Brooklynn, Declan, Baylee, Gia, Jackson, Gavin, Arden and Hayden. Marilyn was a lifetime member of St. Vivian Parish and was the first President of the Madonna Council, as well as President of the Finneytown Athletic Association. She was a Girl Scout leader for 17 years, an avid fan of Notre Dame football and Nascar, coached soccer and softball, enjoyed playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Avenue, College Hill 45224. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Road, Finneytown 45224.
