Marilyn S. Wedig (nee Simmons), beloved wife of Henry E. (Hank) Wedig M.D., loving mother of Karen (Casey) Schulz, Stephanie (Lanny) Cruse, Beverly (Tom) Feie, David (Megan) Wedig and Douglas (Kathleen) Wedig. Grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Margaret Magill and the late Mosby Simmons. Passed away November 5, 2021, at the age of 91.

Marilyn held a BSN from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, where she met Hank, her
husband of 68 years. She worked as a registered nurse in Cincinnati while raising their five children
and earned a master’s degree in Gerontological Studies from Xavier University. She enjoyed
spending vacations on Hilton Head Island and time at Lake Lorelei with her children and
grandchildren, traveling the world with Hank, singing in their church choirs, and being involved in
many activities with friends.

Marilyn considered one of her greatest achievements to be the establishment of Miami Valley
Christian Academy. She and Hank were founding board members and gave their time, talent, and
treasure to create a school with the mission of impacting minds and hearts for Christ. The school
has grown significantly over its 25 years and has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of
families.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-
Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service
at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Miami Valley Christian Academy,
6830 Church Street, Cincinnati, OH 45244
