Marion F. McClure

Marion F. (Stidham) McClure, 78, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023. 

Her parents were both serving in the armed forces when Marion was born on October 20, 1944, on United States Army Base Camp Blanding, Florida. 

Marion co-founded Forest Park Roofing and Remodeling in 1976, of which her son later took ownership. At 39, she earned an associate degree and worked for Union Central Life Insurance Company for several years before returning to Forest Park Roofing and Remodeling as the office manager. 

A talented poet, artist, and storyteller, Marion loved to travel. At gatherings, she kept everyone entertained with her imaginative and interesting stories of the past and her many adventures.  

Survived by her children Richard McClure, and Lori (Heather) McClure; grandchildren Erin (Deondre) Shavers, Jon McClure, and Katherine McClure; great-grandchildren Kyrie Shavers, Sean McClure, Jonathan Lunsford, and Caleb Newman; brother Roger Stidham and Phil (Jeanne McClure) Stidham, Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. 

Her father, Ira Stidham, mother, Frances (Witmer) Stidham, daughter Kimberly McClure, and sister June (David) Miller preceded her in death. 

Deeply loved, many will miss Marion.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 5pm until time of Funeral Service at 7pm.
