Mary Jo Barnes

BARNES, Mary Jo (nee Kern), beloved wife of Thomas H. Barnes, Jr. for 64 years. Daughter of the late Cecelia and Otto Kern.  Loving mother of Kathy (Ken) Kistner, Jane Abell (Bruce Maurice), Diane (John) Ewald, Susan (David) Schultz, Charlie (Cathy) Barnes, Joe (Christina) Barnes, Tom (Terri) Barnes and the late William and James Barnes.  Dear grandmother of Eric, Greg, Lindsey, Francie, Christy, Christopher, Laura, Aaron, Brooke, Carrie, Ben, Amanda, David, Stewart, Konnor, Ryan and Katelyn.  Great-grandmother of 15.  Sister of Richard (Sharon) and the late Howard and Kenneth Kern. Sister-in-law of Don and Pat Plogmann.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at the age of 85.  Family will receive friends at St. Clement Church,  4536 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH 45217 on Friday, March 3, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass 11 a.m. Mary Jo was a life-long resident of St. Bernard and enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and family gatherings, especially the family reunions.  Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnat, P.O.
