Mary Blair Johnson died peacefully at her home, with family by her side in Sarasota, FL on Wednesday, October 12 at the age of 76, after a brief illness.
Mary was born on January 1, 1940 in Paisley, Scotland to her parents, Mary Martin and Charles Blair. She and her family moved to Kearney, NJ in 1948 where she grew up.
Mary was a generous, witty, and passionate woman who loved her family, friends, and Westie terriers Bonnie and Ian without abandon. She was particularly proud of her grandchildren, with whom she had a wonderful, close relationship with each. Her love, spunk, and zest for life will be missed by all.
Mary is survived by her son Paul Dean and daughter-in-law Wendy Dean of Grand Rapids, MI; her sister, Evelyn and husband Rod Marshall of West Chester, NJ; her brother Charles Blair of Manchester, England; and her three grandchildren Erica Blair and Michael Egan of New Haven, CT, Vanessa Marie, and Brandon Gerrit Dean of Phoenix, AZ., her stepsons Kent and Eric Johnson of Columbus, OH and Denver, CO.
Her late husband Lyman Anders Johnson precedes her in death.
A private family viewing is scheduled for 10 AM followed by her funeral at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 18th at the Hoddap Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, Ohio 45069. All are welcome to attend the funeral and celebrate Mary's life. She will be buried at the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
