Mary Scholz

Mary A, Scholz of Greenhills, age 83, passed away on September 24. She was born on October 2, 1940. She was preceded in death by her mom, three sisters, and two nephews. She is survived by her son, Daniel Scholz (Jill), five grandchildren; Daniel Scholz, Jr.(Shanmely), Kevin Scholz (Raven), Eric Scholz (Megan), Cooper Scholz (Maggie Hardewig, and Morgan Scholz (Nate Edwards), nine grandchildren with another baby coming soon; and fifteen nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends. Mary never knew a stranger and was always accepting and loving of everyone she met. She dedicated her life to taking care of others, especially her family. Her family meant everything to her and she gave everything she could, taking care of them, and making sure that they always knew they were loved, cared about, and the center of her life. She was so proud of them, and sharing what they were doing was one of the first and most favorite things to talk to everyone about. She also volunteered for over 30 years at Hospice of Cincinnati; and was always going out of her way to help anyone who needed it, her dear friends, neighbors and even strangers. She finished every conversation with "I love you," even to people she just met. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, on Saturday, September 28th from 9 AM until 10 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place immediately after at Our Lady of the Rosary 17 Farragut Rd., Green Hills, at 10:30 AM.
