Mary Jo Gruenwald

GRUENWALD, Mary Jo. Age 91 of St. Bernard, OH.  Beloved wife of the late Clifford L. Gruenwald, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021.  She was born March 19, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette (Schmidt) Schwetschenau, loving mother of Cynthia (James) Grogan, Janet, Robert (Ann), Dan (the late Sandra) Gruenwald, and Diane (Jerry) St. Clair. Loving Grandmother of Jeffrey and Caitlin Grogan, Stephanie (Anthony) Unkrich, Christina (Jared) Wurzelbacher, Michael, Darci, and Brett Gruenwald, Lance (Emma) White, Tyler (Gabriella) St. Clair, and Cory (Megan) St. Clair. Proud Great-grandmother of 6 young children. Sister to Patricia and the late Joseph (Delores) Schwetschenau.

Mary Jo was a long-time member of St. Clement Catholic Church.  She counted herself as very fortunate to have visited all 50 states with her husband, Cliff. Mary enjoyed arts & crafts, painting, photography, gardening, and was active in Woman’s Club and Senior Citizen Social Groups.  Mary was a Rosie Red and enjoyed rooting for the Cincinnati Reds. A private interment will be held for the immediate family.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Clement Church at a later date.
