Maureen Baldock Sokolowski

Maureen Baldock Sokolowski, born May 27, 1924, passed away on June 15, 2010 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Beloved wife of Edward H. Sokolowski for 57 years. Volunteered many years of service to Auxiliaries of Engineering Societies in San Antonio, Texas, (ASCE & TSPE). Served as member and president of the Auxiliary at Robert B. Green Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She enjoyed her membership in the following art groups: San Antonio Art League and Museum, Coppini Academy of Fine Arts, San Antonio Water Color Group. Maureen was a member of the DAR Cincinnati Chapter as well as a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. She also was a great fan of the Mt. Notre Dame High School Girls’ Basketball Team. She is survived by many nieces, grand-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Visitation at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Friday from 6 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Graveside service to be held at South Fork Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky Saturday at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to: Christ Hospital Cancer Center, 2139 Auburn Ave., Cinti, 45219.
