Maxine Baumann

Maxine Baumann (nee DeBord) of West Chester, OH beloved wife of 68 years to Charles Dale Baumann, Sr. passed away, Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was born March 31, 1929 to Willis F. and Eva DeBord (nee Porter) of Olive Hill, KY. She has resided in West Chester since 1937 when the family moved to West Chester to be with the older brothers who were already residing there. The older brothers had left Kentucky years prior and were employed in the DeBord Brothers Grocery. The grocery was located on the corner of Cincinnati-Dayton and Tylersville roads. She was a 1947 graduate of the Lakota Schools then known as the Union Township School with all twelve grades in one building located on Cincinnati-Dayton Road in West Chester. On September 18, 1948, she was married to Charles Dale Baumann of Fairfield, OH and continued to reside in West Chester after their marriage. Maxine was a loving mother of 7 children -- Dale (Jann) Baumann, Dianne Croswait, Sam (Marilyn) Baumann, Doug (Brenda) Baumann, Melanie (Gregg) Fritz, Gayle (Myer) Young, and Janet (Dave) Huffman. She was also a cherished grandmother to 16 grand children and 23 great grand children. Funeral services Saturday, December 17 at the Franklin Bible Methodist church located at 6000 Dixie Highway, Franklin, OH 45005 with the Rev. Jack Hooker officiating. Viewing 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. with service at 10:00.
