Maxine Wetsig passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born in
Robinson Creek, Kentucky on June 3, 1929. Maxine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank, her parents, Hatler and Hattie Akers, her brothers, Troy, Charles, Junior, Mallie, Homer and sisters, Ethel Wilson, Nellie Grey, Bessie Thompson, Essie Akers and Lizzie Jean Akers. Maxine is survived by her children, Don (Joanne) Mullins, Shirley (Skip) Bacon, Ron (Trish) Mullins, Teressa Morse, Tammy (Robert) Sickinger, John (Judy) Wetsig, Sherry (Phil) Turck, Guy (Jackie) Wetsig, Donna (Dan) Barnhart, Greg (Debbie) Wetsig and her brother, Paul Dean Akers. Maxine had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She considered her husband, Frank, to be the love of her life. Her children were her greatest achievement and all of her grandchildren were her greatest pleasure. She held their hands for a little while, but she holds their hearts forever. Maxine was a homemaker, caregiver, babysitter and had many extraordinary talents. She was a wonderful cook, and everyone especially loved her green beans and pumpkin cookies. She was the center of the family and her family gatherings were always memorable. Maxine was a devout Christian and loved to serve others. She was sacrificial in her giving to her church and to missions. She especially loved Bethlehem Living Waters which is with missionary, Jay Henry and his family serving in Mid India. She considered all of them her family and loved them dearly. Maxine was the most selfless Christian woman and she would be the first to step forward to help someone in need. She was a good and faithful servant. She now resides with our Lord Almighty. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Living Waters at
