Linda Jean (Wilt) McCarthy
53, of Cincinnati, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. She was born on September 15, 1961 in Abington, PA, to parents Charles Robert Wilt, Jr. and Jean-Marie Labar Wilt. Beloved wife of Michael James McCarthy, devoted mother to Megan Marie Flannery and Joseph Robert Flannery. She is also survived by siblings, Karen (Richard) Lewis of Portland, OR, Philip (Cindy) Wilt of Mobile, AL and Eileen (Thomas) Pike of Murrysville, PA; step-children Caitrin (Josh) King, Andrew (Peggy) McCarthy, Christopher (Allison) McCarthy; and step-grandchildren, Jacob, Marissa Belle, Evan, Mariah Rose, Maddison, Lucas and Mason.
Linda grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, attended California University of Pennsylvania, and moved to Houston before settling in Cincinnati where she married Mathew Flannery. Linda worked for 22 years for U.S. Bank as a Senior Underwriter where she was respected by her colleagues for her meticulous attention to detail and her talents as a trainer and writer. She will be remembered for her love of her family, her pleasure in the outdoors, a passion for gardening, and the ability to grow and can just about anything. She had a special gift to make everything that she touched beautiful.
