GIELEGHEM Mea Karen (nee Van Bloom), loving wife of Ron Gieleghem, cherished mother of Alicia Gieleghem and husband Jorge Muoz. She was the beloved daughter of J.C. and the late Mary Rita Van Bloom, sister of J.C. Van Bloom and wife Elaine, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She lived every day to the fullest and allowed her family and friends to experience a joie de vivre extraordinaire. Our modern day Don Quixote – we were all blest to be her “Sancho Panzas”. She passed away on Thursday morning, February 4th, 2010, at the age of sixty. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, at St. James of the Valley Church, 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, Ohio, from 3:30 PM until Memorial Mass honoring her at 5:00 PM. Mea was a member of the Glendale Garden Club and owned her own business, Squirrels Embroidery. Mea was very touched by the plight of the people of Haiti following the earthquake. In lieu of flowers, she would have preferred her spirit live on through donations for the Haitian Relief efforts through Catholic Relief Services at www.crs.org. She will be missed.
