Meredith (Med) Brokaw

BROKAW, Meredith (Med), beloved husband of Marlene (nee Kinzie) for 57 years. Cherished father of Ellen (Tim) Buchanan and David Brokaw. Loving Grandfather of Dante and Isaiah Buchanan. Son of the late Charles and Iona (Kiefel) Brokaw. Passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the age of 81. His life was centered around God – serving Lockland Nazarene and Mason Nazarene as Minister of Music, and Sound Technician at West Chester Nazarene and Sharonville United Methodist. He also went on a mission trip to help build a church in the Dominion Republic. His life always included sports – playing softball for 15 years for Stanton Avenue in the Nazarene league. He was an avid ping pong player winning the Cincinnati Championship Tournament of 1956. He also enjoyed tennis and golf. He was employed for 32 years and Diem and Wing and Ris Paper in inside sales. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon at the Sharonville United Methodist Church, 3751 Creek Road in Sharonville. Memorials may be made to Sharonville UMC’s Music and Sound Departments, the Gideons, or Samaritans Purse.
