Michael Lee Hasselbach, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully Friday, April 9, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born in Middletown Ohio, the son of the late John and Eleanor Hasselbach. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mizzy; their two children Wendy (Jim) Mitchell and Scott Hasselbach; four grandchildren Evan, Blake, Jackson and Nicklas Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Hasselbach and J.D. and Elaine Hasselbach.
Mike graduated from Morehead State University where he played baseball. He was a successful business owner and worked hard over the years. “Hass”, as he was called by many, never met a stranger and he made many business relationships and life long friendships. Mike enjoyed playing golf, collecting cars and was an avid sports fan. His ‘57 Chevy was his pride and joy. He spent many hours at the baseball fields as a coach with his son in addition to spending time at the ice rink or ball field cheering on his grandsons.
He was a friend to many and always giving to others. He will be truly missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday April 15th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Liberty Township, OH 45044. A Christian Service will begin following the visitation at 12:30. The burial will take place immediately following the service at Springhill Cemetery, 6894 Princeton Road, Liberty Township, OH 45044.
