Michael "Mike" Lawson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael “Mike” Lawson, age 56, who peacefully departed this life on September 27, 2024. Mike was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend whose warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

 Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Lora (nee Goodwin) Lawson, and their beloved son, Michael Lawson. He is mourned by his father, Dale Lawson, and he rejoices in being reunited with his dear mother, Patricia (nee Roberts) Lawson, who passed away before him. He will be missed by his brothers, Bryan and Robert Lawson, who shared a bond of joy and laughter in their close-knit family. Mike’s heart was especially full of affection for all his nephews and nieces.

 A man of faith, Mike served as a Deacon at Landmark Baptist Church, where he was a committed member of the Men’s Group and contributed to making the church a safe and inviting place for all. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, including trips to Disney World, classic cars, classic rock music, and the great outdoors—especially hunting and fishing.

 He was known for his generous spirit and ability to make friends wherever he went. He valued the time spent with loved ones, especially his close bond with his cousins. His greatest joy came from creating lasting memories, living by the principle that “Family is Everything, and friends are the family we create along the way.”

 A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Landmark Baptist Church, located at 1600 Glendale Milford Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45215. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a service officiated by Pastor Matt Holman.

 Donations can be made to Landmark Baptist Church (c/o Lawson) to help with family expenses.
