Mildred “Millie” Irene Radford
March 28, 1941 — January 17, 2018
Mildred "Millie" Irene Radford passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, after having suffered two strokes.
Millie was born March 28, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas, as Mildred Irene Everhart. Her parents were Gilbert and Mabel (Cox) Everhart. Her family moved to Ohio where she graduated in 1959 from Washington High School in Washington Court House, Ohio. She eventually settled in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1972, she married Donald M. Radford. After he passed away, she married Norman "Norm" Cleo Radford on November 23, 1979.
Norm and Millie lived in Sharonville, Ohio, until Norm retired in 1997. They moved to Gulfport, Mississippi, where they lived until Hurricane Katrina washed away their house in 2005. They returned to Cincinnati to live in Springdale until November, 2016, when Millie moved into Meadowbrook Care Center in Montgomery, Ohio. This is where she resided until she died.
Millie and Norm lived a simple life in Springdale where they spent their time rooting for the Bengals and Reds and taking good care of their dog (Nicki). They loved to spend time at their lake home at Brookville Lake Resort In Liberty, Indiana, where they had MANY friends.
Millie made friends over the years as she worked different jobs and took on different projects. She served as Deer Park Dance Chairman, President of the Deer Park PTA, and Treasurer of the Brookville Lake Resort Property Owners Association. She also served on many committees at Brookville Lake Resort. She was trained as a bookkeeper but also worked in restaurants and at a Walmart in Mississippi. She was such a good worker that she was even allowed to help in the kitchen at Meadowbrook when her health permitted.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Shirley (Everhart) Mootispaw, her husband, Donald Radford, her husband, Norman Radford, her granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth Vaught, and her step-granddaughter, Sara Marie George.
Millie is survived by her brother, Melvin Everhart (Maria Carme "Kaline" Masó) of Tampa, FL, her daughters, Jerilyn (Radford) Musick (Dan) of Mason, OH, and Andrea “Andi” (Radford) Schuff (Michael) of Alexandria, KY, her three step-children, James Radford (Thoa Oliver) of Gulfport MS, Sandra (Radford) George (Marvin) of Mary Esther, FL, and Kenneth Radford (Vivian) of New Port Beach, CA, four grandchildren, one great grandson, many step-grandchildren, many step-great grandchildren, and her dog (Nicki).
Visitation / services will be Tuesday, 01/23/18, from 5-7 pm EST at:
