MONTIE LEE BOLIN
Age 88, of Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 13, 2016. Born in Somerset, Kentucky. Beloved husband of Mary Albrent Bolin for 67 years; loving father of Karen (Terry) Young, Sharon (Greg) Allan and Paulette (Scott) Homer; cherished grandfather of Kyle (Jennifer) Young, Allisha (Dan) Berendts, Kris (Chelsea) Young, Brad Young, Emily Allan, Zach Allan and Celeste Homer. Son of the late Callie Thurman Bolin and Ottis Bolin. Brother of the late Ivan Bolin, the late Ralph Bolin, and the late Flonnie Lawson; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Montie graduated from Boswell High School in Boswell, Indiana and later attended Indiana University where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting. Montie was an entrepreneur at heart. He served in the US Navy from 1947 to 1958. Serving on the USS Carpenter DD825. After the Navy, he attended college at Indiana University. He earned enough money in the stock market to open his own Goodyear Tire Store in Ellwood, Indiana. He would later go to work for Cooper Tire in 1963 in Findlay, Ohio. He then obtained his real estate license in Lima, Ohio and started his own real estate business, Bolin Realty. Montie also pursued several other entrepreneur opportunities and continued as a day trader. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 24th, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM with services starting at 11:00 at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Avenue, College Hill, 45224.
