Nancy Clare Budke

Nancy Clare Budke (nee Senft) passed away peacefully Sunday, October 2nd, at Twin Towers Senior Living Community surrounded by loved ones at the age of 92. 

 

Nancy was born to Harry and Helen Senft (nee Condon) on May 17th, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Nancy and her sister Pat survived the Great Depression and the great flood of ’37, and Nancy saw 16 presidents in office. Nancy graduated from Our Lady of Angels high school and was married to Thomas Budke from 1951 until his passing in 1989. They had 8 children together and she was a proud resident of College Hill her entire life. A devoted Catholic, she was proud of her involvement in the church, her parish (St. Clare), and her charitable efforts with The Ladies of Charity in College Hill. Nancy loved her life and cherished her family. She loved social activities and considered anyone she met to be a friend, and could always make you smile even when you didn’t want to.

 

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas J Budke, Sr., parents Harry and Helen Senft, beloved sister Patricia McDonald, and daughter-in-law Christy Budke. 

 

Nancy is survived by her 8 children; Christine (Jim) Schlotman, Thomas J (Betsy) Budke Jr., Harry (Jim) Budke, Richard (Debbie) Budke, Julie (Russ) Koch, Martin (Diane) Budke, Bill (Judy) Budke ,Jean (Mac) Budke, 23 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Sylvia Busken. 

 

Visitation will be at St. Clare Catholic Church Parish Center, 1443 Cedar Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224 on Friday October 7th, 2022, 2022 from 10am to 11:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial immediately in the church at 11:45am. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery following the mass.  Service can be livestreamed at https://www.saintclareparish.org/livestream
