Nancy Tomasella

Nancy Louise Tomasella, age 73 of West Chester, passed away at home Thursday, September 26, 2024, with her husband at her side. Nancy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 30, 1950 to late Anthony (AF) and Josephine (Jody) Mentink.

She went to Villa Madonna Academy High School and studied History at Thomas Moore College. Nancy worked as a teacher at St. Michael School, and when she had children, Nancy started her own interior design business, Custom Designs.

Nancy loved to be surrounded by and help others; you would always be greeted with her warm smile. She was artistically gifted and enjoyed every opportunity to travel. Music lived inside her and she never missed a beat. She was incredibly proud of her two daughters, and even more so of her three grandchildren. She always looked forward to the day of becoming Nonni.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, John Tomasella of 48 years; her children, Sarah Raymond and Lauren Carney (Alex); grandchildren Avery Raymond, Julia Raymond, Reid Carney; sisters Sandy Day, JoAnn Ross, Lisa Kirn, Mary Jo Mentink. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 11:00AM, and a luncheon at St. John’s after Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Nancy Tomasella in support of the Frontotemporal Disorders Unit at Mass General.
